SiTime Celebrates Women in Tech for International Women’s Day 2025
#Accelerate Action

Change doesn’t happen by chance—it happens when we accelerate action. This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the power of bold steps, decisive moves, and collective efforts that drive gender equity forward. In the tech industry, where innovation thrives on diverse perspectives, it’s more important than ever to break barriers, amplify voices, and create opportunities for women to lead. For this International Women’s Day, Saturday March 8, we sat down with some of our colleagues to ask them about their experiences, advice and opportunities for building a better future. Join us as we highlight their stories, champion actionable change, and reaffirm our commitment to building a more inclusive future.
The Work Isn’t Done—It’s Evolving

"The journey toward equity and inclusion isn’t just about breaking barriers—it’s about ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, feels empowered to pursue their passions and contribute meaningfully. Our work isn’t done. Today, it’s evolving with the fresh lens of a new generation, one that understands diversity and inclusion go beyond representation. It’s about making space for every voice, creating opportunities for growth, and fostering a culture where everyone feels they belong.
Our determination and curiosity lead to new opportunities that push us beyond our comfort zone. It’s not always easy, but stepping into the unknown, accelerating our learning and expanding our skills result in professional and, even more important, personal growth. Discovery is key to life and our work is a big part of it. Growth comes from embracing challenges, and while the journey isn’t always smooth, it’s definitely worth it."

The Work Isn’t Done—Trust in Your Own Strengths

“My advice is simple and it’s not just for women: trust in your own strengths and don’t give up just because someone else is better than you in one area. You have your own unique talents. You don’t need to compete in every sense. Focus on your development….Technology is about growth, not just competition. You don’t have to be the best at everything to succeed. If there’s one thing I’d like people to remember, it’s this: don’t let self-doubt hold you back. Many women can hesitate because they feel they’re not good enough. But the world is open to those who see the bright side of their abilities. Trust in yourself, and the opportunities will come.”
Fang Tuurnala
Senior Director of MEMS Process Technology and Head of SiTime Finland

“Cultivating a positive culture begins with every word, step and decision we make. There are no small roles. The contribution of everyone is crucial. We are so different from each other in this multi-cultural and multinational environment and, at the same time, so united around creating innovative technology that changes the world for the better.”
UIiana Smut

SiTime’s emphasis on teamwork, respect and growth makes it an empowering place for women to thrive. The Work Isn’t Done—From Diversity to Inclusion to Impact

"As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we reflect on the progress we’ve made, while acknowledging the importance of accelerating action toward creating an even more inclusive and innovative culture. The theme this year, “Accelerate Action,” calls us to not only recognize but also amplify diverse perspectives across all levels of our organization. Inclusion is what allows that diversity to thrive, creating an environment where people feel valued, empowered, and comfortable being their authentic selves. Every voice matters, and it’s through the varied insights, experiences, and ideas of our people that we unlock the creativity and growth that drive us forward.
Encouraging and empowering each other to speak up, share bold ideas, and take calculated risks is key to continuing our success. Small actions can have a big impact. Something as simple as sharing meeting agendas in advance can make a difference, gives people time to prepare and contribute more effectively. Structuring discussions so that all voices are welcomed—especially those who may be quieter or underrepresented—creates an environment of support. Building a strong ally ecosystem is also key. It’s not just about hiring for diverse perspectives; it’s about creating a culture that allows people to show up, speak up and succeed.
At the end of the day, the most meaningful success isn’t about numbers—it’s about people. One of my greatest joys is seeing those I’ve mentored thrive in their careers, leading their own teams, and paying it forward. Career success isn’t just about individual achievements; it’s about how we lift others along the way. Sometimes, that means stepping aside to let people navigate challenges on their own, even when they don’t yet see the value in the struggle. Growth often happens in those uncomfortable moments. As the saying goes, diamonds are formed under heat and pressure. The work isn’t done, but when we commit to fostering inclusion, empowering others, and building an ecosystem of allies, small actions, collectively, create big shifts and lasting impact."
