Markus co-founded SiTime in 2005 and, within two years, released the world’s first MEMS oscillator into mass production. Markus is a MEMS expert, a prolific entrepreneur and inventor. He holds over 100 patents, including patents underlying MEMS First™ and EpiSeal™, the processes used to manufacture SiTime silicon MEMS resonators. Markus previously worked at Robert Bosch GmbH, where he invented the world’s first mass-produced MEMS gyroscope. He was a visiting scholar at Stanford University for five years, is a frequent speaker at major MEMS conferences, and recurrent contributor to technical journals. Markus received his Diplom Ingenieur Elektrotechnik at the Technical University of Munich.
