TimeFabric™ Software Suite

The SiTime TimeFabric™ Software Suite delivers IEEE-1588-2019-based precision timing synchronization and extended holdover for a wide range of applications. Supporting critical timing architectures, the suite combines software intelligence with SiTime’s MEMS-based hardware to maintain accurate and synchronized time during environmental stress, GNSS disruptions, and reference clock loss. It enables system designers to meet stringent timing requirements such as sub-microsecond synchronization and 24-hour holdover without hardware upgrades, additional power consumption, or increased complexity. The TimeFabric Holdover Extension provides up to 24 hours of holdover—doubling the performance of the Epoch OCXO alone—without increasing system size, power, or requiring hardware redesigns. The software tracks the reference clock’s ultra-low daily drift, and in the event that the reference is lost, it actively adjusts the local oscillator to maintain timing accuracy until the reference is restored. Built on SiTime's 12-hour holdover platform, this scalable solution reduces development time and extends the lifespan of deployed systems.

SiTime IEEE 1588 Servo

The SiTime IEEE 1588 Servo software package integrates with MEMS precision timing devices and SiTime network synchronizers to deliver a complete IEEE 1588-2019 PTP timing solution. It executes the IEEE 1588 protocol to align the local clock with a reference time source, compensating for delay variation and jitter across the network. The package includes device drivers for fast system integration and supports sub-microsecond accuracy.
