FAQs

For products originally within the Renesas Clocks & Timing Division, your FAE will continue to provide seamless technical support. SiTime support will continue un-interrupted.

After close, approximately 163  Renesas employees, including the Timing Products Group and key FAEs, will join SiTime. Their expertise strengthens our technology, design, development, and customer support capabilities.

SiTime and Renesas are committed to supporting as smooth a transition as possible. To this end, we will collaborate closely with the Renesas Clocks & Timing Marketing organization that has been responsible for this as they make the transition to SiTime. Most importantly, we will operate with full transparency with our customers and channel partners to have as clear and robust an understanding of the requirements as possible.

While the Renesas Clocks & Timing FAEs will be joining SiTime, there are no Renesas salespeople coming over as part of the acquisition. Accordingly, your channel partner sales contact should remain the same while sales ownership will transition to SiTime.

Customers should initiate questions by working through their normal points of contact. In the vast majority of cases, this should be your account executive or FAE, whether in the channel or at SiTime. Alternatively, you can send your inquiry to SalesClocks@sitime.com.

We will be working closely with Renesas to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the global demand requirements across the entire customer base. Based on anti-trust restrictions, this information has not been available to SiTime prior to the date of close. We will immediately align the demand requirements with the near-term and long-term supply outlook along with the required actions. Priorities will be determined based on the demand visibility we have received from customers and communication will be real-time as the information becomes available.

No. All backlog will be managed by Renesas until such time as it is transferred over to SiTime.  Channel partners have set up their internal systems to manage the Clocks & Timing Division orders as a separate entity from the Renesas parent company and quotes as well as pricing will be transitioned automatically and transparently to the customer.

Renesas Clocks & Timing Division Marketing has been handling customer and channel partner prioritizations. Upon transition to SiTime, the joint teams will be heavily engaged in this process. Orders will be prioritized based on the order that they were received as well as how much longer term demand visibility has been provided to us. In this fashion, we can make the appropriate tradeoffs between short-term tactical requirements and longer-term strategic engagements.

Customers and channel partners should work through their respective SiTime contacts to request an escalation response. The inquiry will be routed to the appropriate level within the SiTime organization with a formal response within 48 hours.

No. To ensure seamless transition, the immediate plan to support all existing channel partners in order to keep supply chains intact.

No. All Renesas Clocks & Timing Division part numbers will remain unchanged.

No. There are no plans to obsolete or EOL any Renesas Clocks & Timing Division device.

For products that are part of the Clocks & Timing Division, Renesas has been working to secure more capacity in total. This is in response to very strong industry demand overall and will be a combination of both front-end capacity with product transitions to alternative TSMC wafer fabs as well as increasing test throughput within assembly & test. SiTime will be working closely with TPD Marketing to align on actions in this regard and customer communication will be provided once there is clarity on timing and magnitude of these improvements.

Yes. SiTime’s Customer Engineering team already provides extensive system‑level design support. With Application Engineers and FAE teams from the Clocks & Timing Division joining us, customers will receive even broader and deeper support.
