Art Chadwick

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Art Chadwick joined SiTime in 2019, bringing 40 years of experience working for Silicon Valley based technology companies. Prior to joining SiTime, Art served as the CFO of Cavium, a fabless semiconductor company, where he was responsible for all accounting, finance, investor relations, human resources, and business systems for the company. He joined Cavium in 2004 when it was an early stage company, managed the company’s IPO in 2007, and was part of the senior management team that grew the company and sold it to Marvell Technology Group for over $6 billion in 2018. Prior to Cavium, Art was the CFO at Pinnacle Systems, where he was responsible for all financial, legal, and human resources for the company. He joined Pinnacle Systems in 1989 when it was an early stage company, managed the company’s IPO in 1994, and remained with the company until 2004. 

Earlier in his career, Art was the plant manager of Gould Semiconductor’s assembly and test plant in Manila, Philippines, was the first CFO at ams Semiconductor based in Graz, Austria, and held various financial positions with American Microsystems. More recently, Art been an annual guest lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Art holds a BS in Mathematics and Physics and a MBA in Finance, both from the University of Michigan.

Sassan Tabatabaei

Vice President, Circuit Design Engineering

Sassan’s hands-on technical leadership and vision provides inspiration to the circuit design team responsible for developing and delivering audacious products. Sassan has led the team in extremely challenging and aggressive projects resulting in breakthrough designs for five new timing platforms. Since joining SiTime in 2008, his guidance in engineering, chip architecture, and design implementation has contributed to SiTime garnering multiple industry-firsts, prestigious awards, and design-wins at leading enterprise customers.

Prior to SiTime, Sassan held CTO and director positions at Guide Technology, Virage Logic, and Vector12, an embedded timing analysis company that he co-founded. His technical expertise spans timing, applications, testing, analysis, and design. He holds over 25 U.S. patents in these areas. Sassan received his B.Sc. from Isfahan University of Technology, his M.Sc. from University of Calgary, and his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia—all degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Narayanan (Nara) Bharath

Executive Vice President, Systems

Nara leads the customer engineering and systems team that synthesizes SiTime technologies into solutions that solve the most challenging customer problems. His holistic systems solution approach fosters successful collaboration—across the company and with customers—and accelerates innovation that is focused on the business and technical needs of customers.

Previously, Nara served as senior vice president of customer engineering and cloud services at Quantenna Communications where he was responsible for several functional domains. Prior to Quantenna, he served as vice president of customer engineering at SiTime and at Ikanos Communications Inc. Earlier in his career, Nara held engineering management positions at Copper Mountain Networks Inc., Information Technology Institute in Singapore, and at C-DOT in India. Nara received his BSc degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Madras, India.

Rajesh Vashist


Rajesh Vashist has served as our Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our board of directors since September 2007. Prior to joining SiTime, Mr. Vashist served as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors of Ikanos Communications, Inc., a semiconductor and software development company, from July 1999 to October 2006. Mr. Vashist holds a B.S. in engineering from NIT Rourkela in India and a MBA from Marquette University.

Markus Lutz

Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Markus co-founded SiTime in 2005 and, within two years, released the world’s first MEMS oscillator into mass production. Markus is a MEMS expert, a prolific entrepreneur and inventor. He holds over 100 patents, including patents underlying MEMS First™ and EpiSeal™, the processes used to manufacture SiTime silicon MEMS resonators and make them extremely small, durable, and reliable, with quality that is 50 times better than quartz resonators.

Markus’s success in MEMS began at Robert Bosch GmbH, where he invented the world’s first mass-produced MEMS gyroscope. This technology is fundamental to modern vehicle stability and is considered Bosch’s most successful component project. Markus was a visiting scholar at Stanford University for five years, is a frequent speaker at major MEMS conferences, and recurrent contributor to technical journals. He received his Diplom Ingenieur Elektrotechnik at the Technical University of Munich.

Lionel Bonnot

Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Business Development

Lionel Bonnot has served as our Executive Vice President of Business Development since February 2018. Prior to joining SiTime, Mr. Bonnot was at Quantenna Communications (Nasdaq: QTNA), a wireless communication solution company that designs and develops radio frequency and digital Wi-Fi chips, from December 2007 to December 2017. During his 10-year tenure at Quantenna, Mr. Bonnot served as vice president of worldwide sales, senior vice president of business development, and most recently as senior vice president of marketing and business development. Mr. Bonnot also held various positions at Ikanos Communications, Inc., a semiconductor and software development company, from December 2001 to December 2007, including vice president of Europe, vice president of sales for North America and EMEA, and senior director of worldwide sales. Mr. Bonnot holds a M.S. in Computer Science from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Informatique in Paris, France.

Vinod Menon

Executive Vice President, Central Engineering

Vinod oversees SiTime’s amazing MEMS and analog mixed-signal engineering teams, orchestrating an integrated development model that is unique in the timing industry. Since joining SiTime in 2012, Vinod has overseen the delivery of TempFlat MEMS™, a revolutionary breakthrough that reduces the need for temperature compensation, resulting in dramatically higher performance, smaller size, and lower power. He also drove the development of the Elite Platform™ which is based on DualMEMS™, a new architecture that enables 30 times better performance in the face of environmental stressors.

Prior to SiTime, Vinod held VP and leadership positions at LSI Corporation (acquired by Broadcom, formerly Avago), National Semiconductor (acquired by Texas Instruments), and Advanced Micro Devices where he led the development efforts for high-value products. Vinod holds a B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay in India and an M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. 

Piyush Sevalia

Executive Vice President, Marketing

Piyush B. Sevalia has served as our Executive Vice President of Marketing since April 2012. Mr. Sevalia previously served as our Vice President of Marketing from March 2008 to April 2012. Prior to joining SiTime, Mr. Sevalia held various marketing positions at Ikanos Communications, a semiconductor and software development company, including vice president of access infrastructure products from October 2006 to March 2008, marketing head of access products from April 2006 to September 2006, and director of product marketing from September 2000 to March 2006. From July 1991 to September 2000, Mr. Sevalia held various positions at Cypress Semiconductor, a semiconductor company, including senior marketing manager, strategic marketing manager, senior / staff applications engineer, and applications engineer. Mr. Sevalia holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Mumbai, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Samsheer Ahmad

Corporate Controller and Vice President, Finance

Samsheer is an avid believer in technology, analytics, and understanding the drivers of business. He joined the company in 2015 during a time of rapid growth and has used his experience in leading ERP implementations to set up the processes, enterprise systems, and infrastructure at SiTime to scale the company. Samsheer has built a team of finance experts at SiTime to oversee the company’s fast revenue growth and successfully manage the budget to plan and profitability.

Samsheer has more than 15 years of operational and technical accounting experience at global technology companies with significant operating scale and complexity. Previous to SiTime, he held senior positions at Maxim Integrated Products, SiRF Technology, TiVo, and Guavus. Samsheer is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of the South Pacific. 

Paul Hagelin

Vice President, MEMS Engineering

Paul is passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation. He joined SiTime in 2005 to direct the development and fabrication of SiTime’s microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) resonator devices. Under Paul’s leadership, SiTime delivered the industry’s first production MEMS used in timing and launched revolutionary technologies such as TempFlat™ MEMS, which delivers best-in-class performance, size and reliability for mobile, Internet of Things (IoT) and wearables.

Prior to joining SiTime, Paul co-founded C Speed Corporation in 1998, where he led the development of MEMS micromirrors for optical switching. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, a Master’s of Science degree in Mechatronics and Optical Engineering from Loughborough University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from U.C. Davis. He holds over 30 patents in the fields of micromachining and optical systems.

Aaron Partridge

Founder and Chief Scientist

Aaron co-founded SiTime in 2005 when his team developed a solution for MEMS timing that had eluded others for decades and would lead to the successful commercialization of MEMS oscillators. As Chief Scientist and an expert in MEMS, analog electronics, and precision timing, Aaron is responsible for guiding the long-term technological direction of the company and acting as the technology bridge between MEMS resonators and analog oscillator ICs. He holds over 75 patents, including patents at the core of SiTime MEMS resonators and oscillator circuits.

Before SiTime, Aaron was the MEMS resonator research project manager at Robert Bosch Research and Technology Center. Before Bosch, he co-founded and was Chief Scientist at Atomis, Inc., a tunneling and atomic force microscope company that was acquired by Surface Interface, Inc. Aaron has authored over 40 scientific papers and served as chair for several IEEE committees. Aaron received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. 

Bruce Potvin

Vice President, Global Sales

Bruce has a proven track record for growing global sales across a wide range of businesses. Since joining SiTime in 2015, Bruce has expanded the company’s customer base fivefold and grown the company’s channel program to more than 80 partners. He has a passion for ensuring a smooth customer experience. Bruce has leveraged SiTime’s unique programmable product features and added global programming partners to cut lead-times in half. He is known for increasing revenue, by combining his experience in sales, marketing, strategic alliances, and business development with his systems knowledge.

Prior to joining SiTime, Bruce served in leadership roles at NXP Semiconductor in the logic business and North America sales organization, and managed supplier relationships for Wyle Electronics. Bruce started his career in sales and technical business development after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. 

Divyesh Shah

Executive Vice President, Operations

Divyesh joined SiTime in 2019 to enable the operations infrastructure to scale to the fast growth of the company, and to lead the teams responsible for procurement, supply chain planning, product and test engineering, packaging, quality, facilities, and IT. He brings to SiTime over 35 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, spanning both engineering and operations, and the ability to manage large revenue through an outsourced supply chain.

Previous to SiTime, Divyesh ran the IC operations at Broadcom (Avago, LSI Logic) and more recently at Integrated Device Technology (IDT). Earlier in his career, Divyesh held positions at National Semiconductor and at a MEMS startup. Divyesh has served on the board of industry and community organizations including the Global Semiconductor Alliance. He holds a dual Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
