SiTime Chosen 2006 Small Times Magazine Best of Small Tech Product Award Finalist

SUNNYVAYE, Ca. October 2, 2006 – SiTime Corp.’s SiRes product family was selected as a finalist for the 2006 Small Times Magazine Best of Small Tech Product of the Year Award.

The 2006 Small Times Magazine Best of Small Tech Awards recognize the best people, products and companies in nanotechnology, MEMS, and microsystems.

“The award winners and finalists this year truly reflect the diversity of companies and people that are shaping the MEMS and nanotechnology communities - from tools innovators to fabs to companies bringing commercial applications to a wide range of markets,” said Patti Glaza, Vice President and Group Publisher of Small Times™.

SiTime Corp.’s SiRes MEMS-based oscillators and resonators aim to replace the quartz resonating crystals that provide the “heartbeat” for every commercial electronic device. Quartz crystals have been the only electronic element that couldn’t be integrated into a silicon chip, but SiTime has sealed its oscillator below the surface of the chip, making one neat package.

“SiTime is proud to be a Small Times Best of Small Tech finalist,” said Kurt Petersen, CEO and Co-founder of SiTime. “SiTime oscillator products truly represent an industry-transforming technology. With over 10 billion quartz crystals used every year in every conceivable electronic product, the potential impact of SiTime silicon resonators is tremendous.”

The recipients of the Small Times Magazine Best of Small Tech Awards and runners-up were selected by nominations and applications submitted by companies and individuals. Small Times Media news staff and an industry panel of experts reviewed the applicants and selected one winner and four winners in six categories, plus lifetime achievement. The panel considered accomplishments between September 1, 2003 and October 1, 2004. A complete list of winners and runners-up can be found in the November/December issue of Small Times magazine and online at www.smalltimes.com.
