Joe Brown, Co-Founder and manager of Strategic Alliance for SiTime accepts invitation to participate in SEMI Global MEMS Leadership Group

April 30, 2006  - Sunnyvale, California - Co-Founder of the Silicon Valley Start-up SiTime Corporation, Joe Brown has graciously accepted his invitation to join the SEMI Global MEMS Leadership Group.  In addition to joining the committee, Brown has agreed to represent SiTime as a speaker at this years SEMICONWEST event in San Francisco, California.

Participation is limited to SEMI corporate members, active in MEMS, and is by invitation from SEMI president and CEO, Stan Myers, and SEMI regional presidents.  The size of the committee is limited to 12 individuals, with three from Europe, Japan, Asia Pacific and the U.S.

The SEMI Global MEMS Leadership Group was formed to provide input on an annual basis on SEMI member needs related to MEMS, provide feedback on current SEMI MEMS products and services and recommendations for improvements, increase member satisfaction, and support SEMI global MEMS events and products with active participation.

About SiTime

SiTime Corporation is developing MEMS Silicon resonators and related products. The MEMS First TM process licensed from Robert Bosch GmbH has removed the technical barriers preventing wide acceptance of this quartz replacement technology. The first oscillator product with excellent stability, low phase noise, and a programmable frequency range is due to sample in Q1’06 and will be suitable for consumer, automotive, and industrial timing applications. SiTime’s primary investors are Greylock, NEA venture capital firms and Robert Bosch GmbH. More information about SiTime is available online at www.sitime.com or www.sitime.jp
