SiTime Adds Future Electronics as Global Distributor to Broaden Market Reach.
SiTime Corporation, a privately held Silicon Valley startup company producing the first MEMS-based timing solutions, and Future Electronics, a worldwide distributor of electronic components, announce Future Electronics as the franchised distributor for all SiTime silicon oscillator products, including all product variants of the award winning SiT8002 programmable oscillator and the SiT1 fixed frequency oscillators.
The SiT1 oscillator famiy offered by Future is available in 173 reference frequencies, four package sizes, and supports frequency stability tollerance down to +/- 50 ppm over the industrial temperature range. The SiT8002 programmable oscillator family will be offered by Future as a , a value-added solution for fast-turn rapid prototypes and custom frequencies. Both the SiT8002 and SiT1 families are form, fit, and function compatible. While available in larger package sizes, SiTime offers the world’s smallest programmable oscillator at 2.0 x 2.5 x 0.85 mm.
“Our signing of SiTime into Future’s distribution network gives recognition to the transformation of an industry and a start of the new era for silicon time references. The continued growth and demand for smaller and cheaper complete timing products will transition to a silicon semiconductor based solution. Design engineers and customers will benefit from the strength and scalability of semiconductor processing and assembly, which is at the core of all SiTime products. SiTime will be a strategic partner with Future Electronics for years to come,” said Jamie Douglas, Global Franchise Expansion Manager at Future.
